Finger Licking Bad
Because sometimes you'll lick your finger and think, "Oh man, WHAT was that?"
I have yet to meet someone who does not tell Milo he is cute. Because he is. And some say, "You are cute," like they can't believe they think he's cute. Corgi's are cute dogs. And they are sweet. Milo, however, doesn't know he's supposed to be sweet. This morning he was full of piss and vinegar - not vinegar so much as piss - but he made me break a sweat. And it's hard because I want to teach him correctly, and I'm learning just as much as he is about what works and what doesn't. I don't yell at him, and if I catch myself raising my voice I stop talking. I've never spanked him or yelled at him for pottying on the floor. If I catch him, though, I'll say NO and take him outside. Tonight he actually sat in front of the door, which made me so happy. I can't believe he's learning this fast, though, so maybe it's just a fluke.
Today I had to give another $500 in earnest money on pushing the closing date on the house to the 13th of next month. Then the title company called me and said, We can't take this check, we need a money order. So I have to try to get one this weekend. School starts next month, and I have to pay $700 for that. I'm thinking about trading my truck in, but everytime I really start thinking about it I get sick to my stomach. I applied for a part-time job at a record/book/video store today to supplement my income. If there is ever one thing, just ONE THING I can teach someone, it's do not ever, EVEREVER get a credit card. EV. ER.
He's been asleep like that for 1/2 hour now. I don't know why he loves chewing on the middle part of that toy. It must be comfortable or he wouldn't stay like that. Last night he slept all the way through until morning without getting up to go outside. I woke up about 4 times, checking on him. I'm a nervous dog-mother.

Even though they're stubborn, they want to please us. Not as much as, say, a Lab, but almost. Make sure that you espress your displeasure in a firm manner, but also praise him like crazy when he pees and poops outside. Corgis really respond to insane amounts of praise. It will you wear out, but it's so worth it!
